Owners of Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-1900 should now be happy, as they don’t have to wait anymore for the official firmware update (Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean). Using the Avatar ROM, based on CyanogenMod 10.1, the S2 GT-1900 is now able to run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Before proceeding, be sure your smartphone has at least 80% battery power. Be sure you have installed USB drivers on your PC and USB debugging enabled on your smartphone. Backup the EFS folder and be sure is rooted and has ClockWorkMod Recovery installed.
How To Install Android 4.2.2 on Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-1900 with Avatar ROM:
1. Download Avatar Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Custom ROM (avatar-2.4b_343_20130323_i9100.zip – 154MB);
2. Download Google Apps;
3. Connect your smartphone to your PC via USB;
4. Copy the 2 files on the SD card;
5. Hold the Volume Up, Power and Home buttons together until the Samsung logo appears on screen to boot into CWM Recovery;
6. Choose ‘wipe data/factory reset’, then tap yes on the next screen. Wait until the data wipe is finalized;
7. Choose ‘wipe cache partition’;
8.Go back to CWM Recovery main menu and select ‘choose zip from SD card’;
9. Locate avatar-2.4b_343_20130323_i9100.zip and confirm installation;
10. Locate Gapps zip file and confirm installation:
11. Go back to CWM Recovery main menu and restart your smartphone
